Born in Dolo on May 16, 1979, Lorenzo Terminelli is a musician and educator with a strong academic background and extensive artistic experience. His musical journey began at the age of nine on electronic keyboards and continued with advanced studies at the Conservatories of Padua and Rovigo, where he earned degrees in Percussion Instruments, Jazz Piano, and Jazz Music.

During his training, he further developed his skills in drumming under the guidance of renowned teachers such as Davide Ragazzoni, Mauro Beggio, and Walter Calloni. This solid technical and theoretical foundation has allowed him to perform across a wide range of musical genres and settings. Alongside his performance career, he is actively involved in composing and arranging contemporary instrumental music, distributed on major digital platforms.

Throughout his career, he has collaborated with notable artists, including singer-songwriter Fabio Caon from Ca’ Foscari University of Venice and composer and keyboardist Francesco Sartori. Together, they have taken part in prestigious cultural events both in Italy and internationally, performing in countries such as Sudan, Tunisia, Romania, France, Lebanon, Turkey, Albania, and Slovenia, as well as in renowned theaters and venues across Italy.

He has also performed with numerous ensembles and artists, including Umberto Marcato, the Big Band Venezze conducted by Marcello Tonolo, Ambrogio De Palma with international guests, American pianist Chase Garrett, the Jesolband Orkestra, the Big Band of the Pollini Conservatory, Alex Masi, Tony Pagliuca, Stefano Olivato, and many others.
Active in jazz, pop, and liturgical music, he performs on piano and electronic keyboards, with a repertoire ranging from Miles Davis and Duke Ellington to The Beatles, George Gershwin, Herbie Hancock, and Billy Cobham.

Since 2020, he has been collaborating with the American record label Bentley Records, releasing tracks that blend various “urban” music genres, including rap, hip hop, jazz, and funk.

Alongside his artistic activity, he is also deeply engaged in teaching. He previously taught Percussion Instruments at the Conservatory of Rovigo and, since 2024, has resumed his role as a percussion instructor for introductory music courses at the same institution. He is also a music teacher in lower secondary schools.
He plays Soultone Cymbals and London Drumstick Company drumsticks.

Il suo percorso musicale inizia all’età di nove anni alle tastiere elettroniche e prosegue con studi accademici approfonditi presso i Conservatori di Padova e Rovigo, dove consegue titoli in Strumenti a Percussione, Pianoforte Jazz e Musica Jazz.

Nel corso della sua formazione si perfeziona nello studio della batteria con maestri quali Davide Ragazzoni, Mauro Beggio e Walter Calloni, sviluppando una preparazione tecnica e teorica che lo porta a esibirsi in diversi contesti musicali. Parallelamente, si dedica alla composizione e all’arrangiamento di brani strumentali di musica contemporanea, oggi distribuiti sulle principali piattaforme digitali.

Nel corso della sua carriera ha collaborato con artisti e musicisti di rilievo, tra cui il cantautore Fabio Caon dell’Università Ca’ Foscari di Venezia e il compositore e tastierista Francesco Sartori, partecipando a numerosi eventi culturali in Italia e all’estero (Sudan, Tunisia, Romania, Francia, Libano, Turchia, Albania, Slovenia). Si è esibito in importanti teatri e contesti culturali, tra cui il Teatro Toniolo, il Candiani e molte altre prestigiose sedi in tutta Italia.

Ha inoltre collaborato con numerosi ensemble e artisti, tra cui Umberto Marcato, la Big Band Venezze diretta da Marcello Tonolo, Ambrogio De Palma con ospiti internazionali, il pianista statunitense Chase Garrett, la Jesolband Orkestra, la Big Band del Conservatorio Pollini, Alex Masi, Tony Pagliuca, Stefano Olivato e molti altri.

Attivo in ambito jazz, musica leggera e liturgica, si esibisce al pianoforte e alle tastiere elettroniche con un repertorio che spazia da Miles Davis e Duke Ellington fino ai Beatles, Gershwin, Herbie Hancock e Billy Cobham.
Dal 2020 collabora con l’etichetta discografica americana Bentley Records, pubblicando brani che fondono diversi generi della musica urban, tra cui rap, hip hop, jazz e funk.

Parallelamente all’attività artistica, svolge un’intensa attività didattica. Ha insegnato Strumenti a Percussione presso il Conservatorio Venezze di Rovigo e, dal 2024, ricopre nuovamente il ruolo di docente nei corsi di avviamento alla musica presso la stessa istituzione. È inoltre docente di musica nelle scuole secondarie di primo grado.
